We are proud to announce that our Saint-Honoré-de-Shenley and Granby sites have once again achieved an AA BRCGS Rating. This is the highest rating attainable; the audits are based on the number and types of non-conformances. Non conformances are classified as minor, major or critical. A minor non-conformance is a small variation from requirements. A major nonconformance creates considerable suspicion as to the conformity of the product. A critical nonconformance is an immediate food safety or legal issue.
Below is a summary of the grading criteria. • An AA grade has no more than 5 minors • An A is between 5 and 10 minors • A B is given for an audit with 11 to 16 minors, or 1 major and up to 10 minors • A C is given for an audit with 17 to 24 minors, or 1 major and up to 16 minors, or 2 majors and up to 10 minors • A D is between 25 and 30 minors, or 1 major and up to 24 minors, or 2 majors and up to 16 minors • An Uncertified grade is given if the audit has 1 or more critical, 31 or more minors, 1 major and 25 or more minors, 2 majors and 17 or more minors, or 3 or more majors

The new image of the classic collection of The Maple Treat Corporation
The new packaging is a result of a multi-year project that involved many hours of consultation with artists, local merchandisers, sales team and over 700 rounds of design – all necessary to ensure that our new graphics performs well across a broad spectrum of markets and customers that we serve. The first release of our new design shares many of the elements of the existing packaging, with a number of enhancements. We have reinforced the Canadian theme, incorporated use of nature in the design as well as further consolidated our branding under The Maple Treat Corporation.
While some of the visual changes are significant, what we have not changed are the same great products, the same attention to quality and taste, and the same trusted service that The Maple Treat Corporation has always offered. In addition, to make this transition easier we have kept the finished product codes the same.
The Maple Treat Corporation team congratulates the Canadian Space Agency and Astronaut M. St-Jacques for the success of the mission on the International Space Station!
The invitation by the Canadian Space Agency to supply our products including our Maple syrup cream cookies for Mr. St-Jacques’ mission on the International Space Station was greeted with pride by our employees.
All proposed foods were first evaluated by the Space Agency’s Operational Space Medicine Group according to well-established criteria. For example, a long shelf life, do not contain alcohol and not be in liquid form. Color, smell, taste, and ease of consumption were also taken into consideration.
